Campbell Ryan Productions Ltd was established in 2001 for the production of the feature film THE CROOKED MILE that was the first feature outside of North America to win the Tribeca First Look Award. Since then the company has produced programs for local National broadcasters TG4, TV3 Ireland & RTE and sold programs to ARTE France, YLE Finland and SBS Australia. It has also been awarded funds by The Arts Council of Ireland, Dublin City Arts Council, Enterprise Ireland, The Dublin City Enterprise Board, The Simon Cumbers Media Fund and The Irish Film Board.

The Simon Cumbers Media Challenge Fund is funded by Irish Aid. It is a grant scheme aimed at assisting and promoting more and better quality media coverage of development issues in the Irish media. Print, photographic, radio and other journalists are encouraged to apply as are those considering a TV documentary on the themes suggested. The fund is administered by Connect-World.
